Whoa! Hold on a second. What do two lines mean again? Joy, panic, uncertainty, and abject terror are going through my mind all at the same time.
Picture this - 6:00 am on a Monday morning. Things haven't been quite "right" for a couple of days and the word "late" has crossed my mind vaguely. Decide to take one of those handy dandy pregnancy tests just to see what the result might be. Of course, I bought a 4 pack, just to make sure.
Wait, wait, wait. 3 minutes later I expect to see only one line on the test window. OK, look down - there are two lines. Maybe this is a newer test and the results read differently. Where are the instructions? Two lines means - drum roll please - you are pregnant.
After picking my jaw up off of the floor, I quickly go into the bedroom where my completely unaware husband is sleeping soundly. I flip on the light and try to rouse sleeping beauty. I finally resort to pulling off the covers and yelling "WAKE UP." He jumps up and looks at me with a dazed expression as I shove the test stick in his general vicinity. He looks at it, smiles, and then lays back down and goes back to sleep.
As my dear husband snoozes next to me, I sit in a catatonic state for about a half an hour. His alarm goes off and he rouses. He looks over at me, laughs, and then says "It's OK, we planned this remember."
